Unfortunately, Seagate continues to have specific families of hard drives with specific problems in the F / W even in its new series. We received one of them and we found the same issue. We managed to read the entire disk surface but there was no access to the data as the user was using the disk on a Mac with FileVault encryption. After a lot of effort and time the data was recovered with 100% success and another happy customer. In my opinion, if you are not Barak Obama, do not use such encryption in your data. Do not hesitate to call Enterdata for any information about the security of your data.
