There are also cases where a hard drive is non-recoverable. Like, for example, this Seagate ST2000DM001. These Hard drives have a peculiarity. Although the surface of the hard drive looks good (no signs, scratches) with poor heads, putting new set of heads straight away you get a problem with them without having any chance to read data. No matter how many times you try, there will be no result. It is estimated that a 3% of the hard drives that need data recovery are irrecoverable. Either because of the surface of the disk, or because of some problems the translator may have or a software problem. This is why the backup is required on a storage medium. Consult Enterdata for backup solutions.
